Go rosy in Greyton this spring
Everything will be coming up roses in the rustic little hamlet of Greyton. Head into the country for a breath of fragrant fresh air at the 17th Greyton Rose Fair – there’s something for the whole family from a rose-exhibition, visits to rose gardens in the village, fun stuff for kids, an art and wine auction gala event, live music, buskers, Spaider and horse cart rides, wine tastings, art exhibitions showcasing well known artists. Wine fundis will love sampling the best wines from more than 30 outstanding cellars and purchasing their wines at estate prices.
Don’t miss the Rose Fair Market on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Mosey around more than 100 arts, crafts and food stalls, such as hand-spun yarn by the “Genadendal Spinning and Weaving Ladies”, Duncan’s roses, the Red Cross Book Stall, jewellery, cheeses from Concordia, Lappiesland Honey, etc. Bring your dancing shoes and party on Friday night to the snappy beats at The Oak & Vigne Café! Do your version of the Tango, Samba, “lang-arm”, “sakkie-sakkie” or just sit back “on the Vigne side”.
