Clean, free traffic flow - love the circles - plenty of shopping malls. Lovely smaller city.

George is a great central place to explore the garden route from. Lots of attractions nearby and friendly service everywhere.

The town is a absolute marvel. Because it is not that close to the coast it makes for glorious days and nights. The people that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Even VW George were attentive when my vehicle broke down. The town is noticeably clean. Whenever you enter a building there is always someone greeting you with a smile.

Best part of the country! Definitely our home away from home. Victoria bay, the near by beach, is a jewel that artists sing about. George is very central and superb as a spring board for day trips along the coast and inland.

Overnight on my way to George. My stay in George was enjoyable. However, making use of Hotels and lodges in George are quite expensive for ordinary SA Citizens.

I am not so crazy about the town of George itself but the surrounding forests and countryside are some of the best.
