Family fun for all at Fees van die Ganse & Winter Fynbos Show. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander – the Fees van die Ganse invites male and female, lighty and ouma alike! On the first weekend in July the annual festival of the geese attracts more than 8 000 visitors to Gansbaai - on the Dangerpoint Peninsula. The Festival of the Geese celebrates the origins of Gansbaai, and remembers the wild geese that used to flock to the freshwater spring located in the present day harbour.
"Local is Lekker!" The exciting programme offers something for everyone - entertainment for Africa (eeish!), various stalls to pick and choose from, kids entertainment, fashion show, tea-garden, special seafood and fish-braai, motor show, helicopter flips, special whale and shark watching trips, puppet show, golf competition, fynbos hiking up Duynefontein Mountain and lots more. Of course no fees would be complete without the ubiquitous beer tent! Don’t miss the unbelievable annual Winter Fynbos Show. The tannies in charge will again ensure an enjoyable and unforgettable tour through the region’s fynbos and mountains, all to be seen in one hall!
“Please make a huge note to visit this great annual gathering, with only one purpose in mind, and that is for everyone in all the communities to come and enjoy themselves, to eat, to drink, to chat and laugh with one another.”
