Our farmstay and country venue is located on top of a small hill in the beautiful Manley Flats valley, just 20 km from Grahamstown, the cultural Mecca of South Africa.
Many historical forts of Frontier Country inspired the main structures of Bon Tempo. The characteristic feature for our buildings is Eco-art, which is the use of glass bottles and various other materials.
On our farm you will find a group of zebras and some buck. The grassland is filled with acacia, aloe and euphorbia which slopes down into dense riverside thickets. Some wild life can be found living here, including small buck, bush pigs, jackals, caracals, genet cats, porcupines, baboons, small monkeys, huge land tortoises, iguanas and a vast variety of birds ranging from the African fish eagle to minute sunbirds.
We are surrounded by a game farm and various other farming lands. The Phallo's Art Exhibition and the Priapic Garden are new attractions at our farmstay.
Halfway between Cape Town and Durban, Bon Tempo is the place right to stop over or to stay on for a few days while conveniently exploring nature, wildlife and culture of Frontier Country.
