Description
Franschhoek set to buzz with writers, publishers and bibliophiles this May
The sixth Franschhoek Literary Festival kicks off on the long weekend when writers gather to discuss the latest books, complex history and 'volatile now of the beloved country'. Authors, poets, editors, illustrators and chairpeople will be taking part in over 80 events. Get inspired and informed during the three days of discussions and debates, insights into writers’ lives and problems, spoken poetry, impassioned outbursts, storytelling, singing, glorious music and laughter.
If you love books and stunning surroundings then you’ve simply got to get to the Franschhoek Literary Festival. Listen to scores of South African and award-winning international authors speak about their passion in venues throughout the village. They say that words make their own music. When these words are strung together by a writer they develop a magical quality that plays out in a melody, engulfing you in its entirety.
Book your seats in good time for what is becoming one of South Africa’s prime book events. Find out more about the prgramme at www.flf.co.za.
