Things to do - Yes, you drive through this little town thinking, okay, it's so small, until you put on your walking shoes and start walking. First the sand on the dirt roads is in your face but then you see the way how these people live the cutest little houses with wooden shutters and picket fences. The people are friendly and have a lot to say. The slaghuis makes the nicest droe wors and the biltong is nice too. If you want to watch rugby and have a beer, the windmill pub and grill is the place to go. The Plaas Stoep has lekker boere food. The antique shop such an interesting little shop. Then there's the long walk to beauty that I've ever experienced; yes, quite a climb and requires a lot of water but you've just got to do the Meiringskloof hiking trail. So much nature, small animal life, caves and bridges. A lot of art and boy, I took photos! Maybe Fouriesburg is small but if you are used to luxury and everyone jumping when you snap your fingers, this isn't the place for you. This cute little place is for people that want to be close to nature and have the quietness of life and peace. And if you're a chatty, bubbly person like me, the people in Fouriesburg will chat with you about everything for hours.
- Nee, geen diesel!
Die Plaas Stoep se kos is uit die boekke, lekker kuierplek.
Vriendelike mense, maar nie veel meer te doen as om oor te slaap en die buurdorpe (en Lesotho) te besoek nie
