Because of Fish Hoek's history of raucous, thirsty sailors dating back to 180 years ago, there is still no liquor store and any pub that opens up seems to go out of business very quickly, thus Bhandaris Indian Restaurant operates in true Halaal style, without any liquor sales, however, customers are welcome to bring their own wine at no additional charge.
Located on Main Road, just a short walk from Fish Hoek Beach, Bhandaris Indian Restaurant and take-aways is open from Monday to Sunday for lunch until late.

I have never been more disgusted with the take away food from this restaurant. I have had issue with the poor reception and the manners of the staff in the past, especially the telephone manner when asnwering to order take aways. I complained to the management and was given a R150 voucher as a form of compensation. I used this on the 18th January 2013. The food supplied was appalling. The presentation was appalling. I cannot say more. Anyone using this restaurant, beware, it is truly sub standard and does not deserve to be trading. Is it an independant, I do not know? However it trades under the Bhandaris name. We have been to Westlake Bhandaris and had excellent meals. Bhandaris Fish Hoek is a disgrace.
