The cottage has one bedroom and an open-plan living room. The bedroom has a king-size bed with 100% cotton linen and mosquito netting. Each unit is fully furnished and equipped to accommodate between four and six people. The TVs have M-Net and our friendly staff members will clean your unit daily. All units also have their own barbecue areas.

The Hluhluwe and Umfolozi game reserves are 55 km away; close enough for a day trip. St Lucia offers game viewing, self-guided walks, hippo and crocodile launch tours, picnicking, swimming, fishing, boating, snorkelling, a ski boat launch site as well as seasonal turtle tours and whale watching trips. Sodwana Bay is renowned for its scuba diving and bill fishing as the southernmost coral reefs in Africa occur here. The area enjoys splendid subtropical weather with warm water throughout the year.

Dolphin Lodge offers immaculate, spacious accommodation in a home at the coast. The property is located in a tranquil setting just 5 km from the beach. Pristine wildernesses, absolute relaxation and a personal family retreat are the order of the day at the lodge. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms of which one is an en-suite bathroom, a lounge / dining room, with a large spacious deck area for braais and sun tanning. The house has its own air-conditioning and DSTV. There is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with large fridge/freezer, bar fridge, microwave oven, toaster, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. The only things you need to bring with are all towels, food and drinks. We have a lovely view over the lake and forest.

Accommodation consists of camping, rustic self-catered cabin rooms, caravan sites, tents set up with beds provided and tents for hire. Enjoy campfires and braais in the boma area. Ablution facilities are neat and offer very spacious showers and are serviced daily.

Shortly after starting to produce cheese a small shop was built. Here the public were invited to taste and buy the cheeses. This soon became very popular and had to be expanded to accommodate the many guests who visited.

The lodge offers four comfortably furnished self-catering units as well as four family units.

There is a restaurant where you can have a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Children take pleasure in the way of milking goats and feeding the animals

The farm offers a range of exceptional cheeses, a farm shop, a bigger kids play area and mini golf, a swimming pool and Cheese Tours.

The Flatlet is part of an old house converted into separate units with each an own entrance. This is a budget type unit due to building restrictions. The house is elevated with 6 steps to the only door. It is very well equipped, neat and tidy and furniture and fittings are a mix of old and new. Brick walls tiled floors and carpeted bedroom. One small bathroom with shower toilet and basin. This unit has one large bedroom with double bed and 2 single bunker beds, wall closet and basin. Open plan kitchen dining lounge area with two single stack beds in lounge.

All opening windows and doors have insect netting. Next to swimming pool with scattered view of lake. Communal path between braai and door. Own braai and garden furniture. Television with DSTV selected channels (Mnet, movies, sport) package. Parking is on site under roof cover at car port. Once daily cleaning service is included. Ceiling fan in bedroom and lounge plus extra pedestal fan.

Palm Tree Lodge offers a choice of one of the eight self-catering chalets or 10 Campsites. The chalets can sleep between three to eight people and are furnished with comfortable double or single beds. Each chalet has a private bathroom that consists of a shower only. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a two-plate stove and a kettle. Fans are also provided for your comfort. The chalets have private verandas and guests can make use of the barbecue facilities. The Campsites are equipped with electricity and each has a private barbecue area. The communal ablutions consist of showers only and have washbasins for dishes or laundry. The lodge also has a swimming pool, a trampoline, swings and a pool table, and is sure to keep guests entertained.

Palm Tree Lodge has always encouraged the use of the Gillies which are local guides to show visitors around, and they operate excursions such as fishing guides, tours of local attractions, game viewing trips to the nearby Thembe Elephant Park, Turtle Tours during the months of November to March, or transfers to the local beaches which are only accessible by 4x4 vehicles. A variety of bird species and animals from hippos, crocodiles and bull sharks can be seen in the area.

It is strongly recommended that travellers use 4x4 vehicles as the sands are often very thick. Please note that the use of quad bikes are forbidden as they are off-road vehicles and therefore not licensed to be on public roads; all roads around Palm Tree Lodge are considered public roads.
