Adrenaline, testosterone, steely willpower and entertainment merge for a gutsy duo of show and sport. The Buffalo City is getting amped for the Spec-Savers Ironman this January! The gruelling challenge involves a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle race and a 21.1km run. Athletes from around the globe and South Africa will be descending on East London to find out if they have what it takes.

Have you entered the 2009 Spec-Savers Ironman 70.3 SA? If so, then you are in good company as 1140 fellow South Africans and international athletes will be joining you. You haven't? Late entries will remain open until the 28th November 2008 and race numbers are expected to swell even further!

A legendary international athlete has signed up and looking forward to making his way to Buffalo City East London in January 2009. This athlete is a former World Champion and will be visiting South Africa for the first time to race. Can you guess who?
