Start living it up in September! Celebrate spring and the arrival of warmer days with Durbanville Wine Valley's annual Season of Sauvignon. This festival showcases the very best of country life, arts, food and live entertainment to honour the award-winning and world-renowned Sauvignon Blanc wines produced by Altydgedacht, Bloemendal, D’Aria, De Grendel, De Vallei, Diemersdal, Durbanville Hills, Hillcrest, Klein Roosboom, Meerendal and Nitída.
Every year, the Durbanville Wine Valley signals the start of white wine season with a jubilant week-end long celebration of extreme fun. 2009 saw the debut of the Durbanville Sauvignon Wine Ferry, taking to the air for an adventure of fine wines and brilliant views in a fleet of Base 4 helicopters.
The festival offers a great line-up of activities. You can choose from 4x4 trips, casting your rod at a fishing competition or even vertical Sauvignon Blanc tastings! Kids can bounce their excess energy out in a jumping castle. Don’t miss the Food Lovers Market where you can weigh your own olives by the kilo; sniff out wine specials and much more! !
