Origins of the name Kay Cera: The Kay Cera name was derived from the 1956 hit song Que Sera Sera performed by Doris Day in the Alfred Hitchcock movie The man who knew too much. Que Sera Sera translated from Spanish means Whatever will be, will be, the song has served as inspiration to Sue-Ze de Jager, the owner manager of Kay Cera, from an early age as a child. This motto of “whatever is destined to be, will be”, has become a way of life throughout the years. Sue-Ze has now “retired” to the Garden Route where she manages Kay Cera Guesthouse and Self-catering. She still lives her life and operates Kay Cera by these same values. Kay Cera has become a sanctuary for travellers from all over the country and world seeking reflection or relaxation in the beautiful Garden Route for a few days, many leaving with a new outlook on life.
