Claremont Burgers restaurant
in
Claremont Why write about a burger joint? It doesn't seem so odd if the burgers are more like a work of art than a meal.
3rd Hudsons are really onto a recipe for success. Great service, great portions and great fresh ingredients is at the order of the day. The best ground meats are selected and it is claimed to contain more than 20 % less fat than normal. The toppings are freshly made as well and include traditional favourites as well as more exciting options. Be sure to try the mint and jalapeno salsa, in itself an explosion of flavours. How does a perfectly cooked patty topped with tomato relish, biltong dust, chilli cream cheese and sliced battered jalapeno rings sound? Too good to be true? Not here.
The relaxed sense of humor on the menu is very refreshing and the Ba-rack-o-lama, or La Di Dah (with ostrich meat) are examples of this. For vegetarians they offer a delicious chick pea and lentil burger with fresh goat's cheese and avo.
This is a must-try and must-repeat experience.

Cape Town Burgers restaurant
in
Cape Town If you have ever wondered what real street food is, wonder no further. This little restaurant is located on arguably the busiest strip in Cape Town - Long Street.
Don't be fooled be the rustic (very rustic) interior. Just grab a high chair or a bench, order and await a new kind of delight. The Burger Shop, true to its name, offers mainly burgers, chips and stuff on rolls, but the portions are big and the nostalgia the street food evokes is something quite unique.
The dining process can become quite messy as it is 'illegal' to eat a burger with anything else than your hands, but this is part of the fun and colourful vibes that especially this part of Cape Town offers.
This is definitely not something to try if you prefer fine dining in a posh spot, but if you want a unique, proudly South African experience, pop in here.
