Gardens Fusion restaurant
Societi Bistro is a neighbourhood “local” and something of sanctuary for Capetonians and visitors looking for a home from home. More than cuisine - its a way of life - taking time to savour a meal and enjoy the company of family and friends. “We love it! Its an extension of our home”, is how Tammy and Peter have always described their bistro.
Experience the much publicised co-operation with the Labia Theatre; the two course “On The Job” business lunch; or the opportunity to create your own menu in conjunction with head chef Stéfan at the Chef’s Table - located informally in the kitchen.
The heart and soul of Societi remains its menu - in its third seasonal change with Chef Stéfan at the helm - proving his love for seasonal produce, accessible food and offering exceptional value. Simply put, Societi creates memories!
Tokai Fusion restaurant
Tammy Botbyl and Peter Weetman, in conjunction with their partner at Jonkershuis – Groot Constantia, Chris Coetzee, have teamed up to open Societi Brasserie on the border of Tokai and Constantia.
Inspired by classic brasseries, this unpretentious space includes a huge bar, kitchen counter dining and alfresco dining in the walled garden. Retaining the ethos of Societi Bistro, seasonal products will be locally sourced and much emphasis is placed on small local artisanal producers.
Strand Sushi restaurant
This authentic Japanese restaurant offers a great, unique experience to diners looking for Eastern flavours in a contemporary but relaxed setting. The location is ideal as it ensures that all ingredients are as fresh as can be.
The master sushi chef can be justifiably called a craftsman as he fuses the flavours of specialized Japanese rice, fish and other flavours into culinary delights.
Enjoy maki, nigiri, sushi, fashion sandwiches, and if you're lucky, some of the chef's own specialities. All dishes are served with the usual soya sauce, ginger and wasabi. Other Asian cuisine can also be enjoyed here and dishes include a variety of soups, spring rolls, chop suey, Shanghai beef, the sweet and sour varieties and many more.
Contemporary, fashionable and just plain great cuisine are the signatures of this restaurant.
Cape Town Italian restaurant
Suspect the usual Italian delights and quality ingredients at this buzzing trattoria.
From families to trendy singles, Sorrento’s clientele appreciate good quality food and their mouthwatering pizzas, which have become a household name.

The relaxed atmosphere, delicious flatbreads, pizzas and more, coupled by breathtaking sunsets makes Sontano by Caveau the place to be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
City Centre Dim Sum restaurant
South China Dim Sum Bar's philosophy is simplicity, which perfectly describes this wonderful establishment.
A rather small venue by general standards, the restaurant interior portrays a very rustic element. Expect seating on wooden boxes, biodegradable plates and cups, and brushed concrete walls with Bruce Lee posters for décor. But don't let this mislead you; every piece of the interior has been hand crafted by the owners, and the kitchen (which is easily visible from the tables) is state of the art.
The menu changes daily and food is made to order. The variety of dim sum is freshly made and tastefully arranged; simple and delicious. The home-made ice tea on offer is an excellent complement to the food.
Located at the top of Long Street, South China Dim Sum Bar is possibly one of the better places to get a quick meal while having a night out in town. Keep in mind bookings are essential, due to limited space and it's increasing popularity.

With a definitive Mediterranean flavor this family owned and run store is situated on the Main Road on the way to Chapman's Peak Drive. One could find a similar looking restaurant on an island in Greece. Spiro, the owner, is ever present, as is his wife Julie. Both are passionate about food, people and life.
There are al fresco dining areas on the patio in front of the restaurant and in the paved, enclosed courtyard. There are various dining rooms with tables and some have couches or divans and cushions for relaxing.

A popular spot, and with good reason, Square Restaurant and Sushi Bar is a dining experience you will want to repeat.
Goodwood Steakhouse restaurant
Squires Grill and Chop Shop is a must-stop for the carnivore in anyone. The restaurant is located in the busy and vibey atmosphere of Grand West Casino's entertainment area and the mood permeates the interior.
Squires serves up some of the most succulent steaks in the area with a wide variety of sides and sauces. For the less hungry there are lighter dishes incorporating chicken and ostrich. Even though their speciality is meat, meat and meat, the menu surprisingly offers quite a few options for vegetarians.
Squires is fully licensed and when you try the place, make sure to prepare for great food and great socializing. The restaurant has a smoking section and is wheelchair friendly. Squires is open from 12 pm until late and booking is advised.
