Killarney is a classic motor race track in Cape Town - ideal for novices but also a stern challenge for those willing to pin back their ears.Killarney Race Track was first raced on in 1947. In 1959 KillarneyRace Track was rebuilt to conform with the standard for the 1500ccFormula One cars of the time. On 1st January 1960 the Cape Grand Prixwas held at Killarney.The 3.2km circuit hosted the F1 Cape Grand Prix in the early 1960's and put the likes of Jim Clark and Stirling Moss through their fabled paces. Since then it has developed every facet of circuit racing, including Motocross, Karting, Super Motards, Stock Cars and Drag Racing - but most importantly, Fantastic Racing!Just 30 minutes north of Cape Town city centre in South Africa, the track boasts magnificent views of Table Mountain.
