Action or leisure, the choices are endless. Our sundowner cruise through the marina at St. Francis Bay has become a traditional highlight. On a less organised note, a trip to Seal Point Lighthouse (built in 1878 to warn ships of the dangerous reefs that stretch more than a kilometer out to sea. It is the tallest masonry tower on the South African coast standing at a height of 27.75 meters), with guided tours departing every 45 minutes, a round of golf at the nearby 18 hole links style course, bowls, squash, tennis, a visit to Port St. Francis home to the chokka (calamari) industry, or simply a stroll along the beach is all part of the Cape St. Francis experience. For the more active all of the following are available: the Sand River with green emerald pools and big sand dunes, various paths through Irma Booysen fynbos Reserve, or the Cape St. Francis Nature Reserve at Shark Point, or, a walk to the Beacon with the most spectacular views.

Accommodation consists of three free standing units all with a swimming pool. 12 en-suite bedrooms are spacious, individually decorated. Six have sea views, one leads onto the Jacuzzi. Room facilities include tea and coffee facility, hairdryer, safe and guest amenities. Other facilities include satellite television, bar dinners on request (suggest seafood barbeque), internet access, fax facility, limited room service, baby sitting on request, laundry service and airport shuttle. This large and spacious red house has two floors and offers views over the area and out to the ocean. There are two rooms, one with a double bed and the second with twin beds. They share a full bathroom. The living area is open-plan and consist of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a comfortable lounge with a TV, DStv and a DVD player.

Outside is a sitting area and braai facilities. The house is within walking distance to the beach and close to many attractions in the area.

For golfers, Thatch wood is ideally situated on the St. Francis Bay Golf Course. With the 6th and 8th tee almost in our garden, you can tee off only 2 minutes away from your breakfast. Also non-golfers can enjoy the course: strolling down the fairways is just a scenic route to the unspoiled beaches where you can watch dolphins and whales.

The six en-suite bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the panoramic views of the sea, Seal Point surf and the beach break are breathtaking and exhilarating.
The safe swimming beach is a short walk about 50 metre down the path.

The two lounges are spacious, elegant and comfortable. The lounge balcony upstairs is ideal for a relaxing read and the verandah downstairs perfect for breakfast.
We are situated about 50 m from the beach and the rooms have spectacular views.

Please note that we have a minimum five night stay policy from 22th December until 6th January.

Sandown is located close to the Cape St Francis Lighthouse, which is a National Monument, and there is also a penguin sanctuary close by.

The two units at Sandown Self-catering each sleep three guests. The top unit has wall-to-wall carpeting while the second has tiled floors. Each unit has a sleeper couch and either a double bed or twin beds. The units also contain a TV with local channels. The kitchenette is equipped for four people and each room has an en-suite bathroom with shower. Bed linen and bath towels are provided, as well as a nice hot drink.

The private path leads to a stunning 4 km expansive beach where one can swim, fish or snorkel, while surfers can choose from several good spots, including the world-renowned Seal Point and nearby Bruce's Beauties.

Each unit sleeps four people in either double or twin beds, as well as a sleeper couch.

The accommodation is ideally situated just a short distance from Cape St Francis beach with its beautiful white sand and spectacular views. The area is popular for kite surfing, fishing and horse riding. The town also has a wide variety of pubs and restaurants.

Accommodation comprises four bedrooms, enabling up to 12 guests to feel entirely at home with space for everyone. The lounge has a fireplace for cosy evenings and a 46-inch LCD TV with DStv Multiview, certainly spoilt for choice with the kids having their own TV in their room.
