Laugh yourself silly - Comedy Revolution Tour hits Jozi!
Ha ha, be warned - you could split your sides guffawing, roll in the aisle tears streaming down your cheeks or even wet your pants. South Africa's largest ever stand-up tour will be cruising in to TANZ CAFE on the 4th and 5th of June, to bring Egoli audiences a world-class comedy line-up. And the chortles don't stop here - the Comedy Revolution Tour is running from the Cape to KZN up to Gauteng, down to the Free State and back to Cape Town this May and June.

With three international and six local performers, the tour is truly on a mammoth scale for the South African scene. The international acts featured in the show are Martin Davis (UK), Glen Bo (RSA/UK) and Martin Evans (RSA/UK). African acts include Marty Kintu (Uganda), Zinzi Mangweni, Brendan Murray, Simmi Areff, Lil Paul, and Jan Badenhorst. Tour promoters, Martin Evans (based in Cape Town) and Glen Bo (based in KZN), are both international comedians based in South Africa who are passionate and determined to develop South African Comedy. The tour runs from the 14th May through to 7th June, 2008.

Tickets for the TANZ CAFE shows on the 4th & 5th of May are R50-R100 per person and are available at the door or online @ strictlytickets.com. For more info call Martin at 084 919 5925 or join the revolution - search for The South African Comedy Circuit on FaceBook for regular updates. Their aim is to develop and unite the comedy scene in South Africa by taking these shows to towns that many performers bypass and staging a stand-up show set at an international standard. Promoted by ThunderHEAD Comedy (KZN) & Get up Stand-up (CPT) and in association with GRRIT MAGAZINE. comedyrevolution.wordpress.com. Shows starts at 8pm. There is an age restriction of 18. See you there!
So, where are the shows? TANZ CAFE in Bryanston on Wed (3rd) and Thurs (4th) as well as CARNIVAL CITY on Friday (5th).
