Julian's Gallery Restaurant

Description

Julian's Restaurant offers a ‘full day culinary experience’ start with breakfast at 9am and end with dinner at 10pm. During the day, light meals and delicious lunches are served in a relaxed atmosphere by efficient, friendly staff. In the evening, Julian and his well-trained team take elegant fine dining to a new level by offering an eclectic fusion of exquisitely prepared and presented local and international cuisine. This fully licensed restaurant offers a wide selection of local (Agulhas) and regional wines.

Described by many as an Aladdin's Cave, Julian's offers a unique selection of objects d'art, fine art, hand-crafted ceramics and table linen in African and contemporary designs. Julian has trained a team of 20 local artisans in the highly specialised techniques of ceramics and fabric painting. In the well-equipped studio adjacent to the restaurant, this team produces an extensive range of ceramic dinnerware and table linen decorated in African and contemporary designs, highly sought after both locally and internationally.

Three months on from our visit, I still say to my partner 'Can we go back to Julian's?' - it's only a 23-hour flight away. The gallery has contributions from a variety of artists and media and choices for varying budgets. We adore this place. Thank you Julian, for t ... more
