An educational place

I wont forget the close encounter with the wild elephants by the water hole in the river at the base of Brandberg

I would definitely recommend to set aside time for this guided walk to the rock paintings. Allow at least half a morning. Might be too strenuous for young children. The fauna, flora, geology, topography and rock paintings are beautiful and the guide we had was well trained in all aspects.

I won’t forget a surreal evening spent at the foot of the Brandberg Mountains. The setting sun transformed the dark granite to blazing crimson while the landscape blushed deep pastel hues. Get up early and go on a guided walk to see the famous ‘White Lady’ and other beautiful rock paintings.
