Grab your cute little elves and scamper off to a fun show this December. The well-known Ballet Bugs Theatre Company presents the classic tale of the Elves and the Shoemaker, introducing Christmas Elves and Father Christmas. The production will be staged at the Wits Amphitheatre from Monday, 8th of December, 2008 to Saturday, 13th of December, 2008 with shows running twice daily at 10h30 and 14h30.

This production has a cast of 16 and includes ballet, Irish dancing, singing, audience participation, candy sticks and buddy bears! Reindeer buddy bear dressed in Father Christmas’ clothes will be raffled at each performance. Buddy Bears have kindly been sponsored by Buddy Bear South Africa. All monies raised from the raffle will be donated to charity.

The cast includes the very talented Gianfranco Vizzini who has composed an original score with the assistance of producer director Kariena Kolisko. All lyrics and melodies are original. The talented Sharné Hein and Meagan Olivier take the lead dance parts which include snippets from the Sugar Plum Fairy, original Irish soft and hard shoe dances - as well as several contemporary numbers.

With the help of seven very cute little Christmas elves, by the names of:Knicker, Bokker, Glory, Pinkel, Ponkel, Boo and Bee, this show promises to entertain and delight both young and old ... come join in the festive celebration with us.
