Swinging Sixties Weekend (This event has passed)

Description

C'mon, loosen up at the Swinging Sixties Weekend to the sounds of Déjà Vu on the 3rd until the 5th of October. Déjà Vu is the irresistibly talented singing duo, Paul Buckby and Mark Richardson. This time they bring ballads and rock hits from the 1960’s to foot tapping life. Who will not experience that déjà vu feeling as they hear The Drifters, The Troggs, Elvis Presley, Burt Bacharach, The Bee Gees and many more?

The 1960’s is a decade famously referred to as The Swinging Sixties because it produced a whole new freedom in the creation of popular music, fashion and art. It’s a decade that has reverberated through all following decades in influencing popular culture. Quite literally hundreds of top hit songs were written and performed and to bring most of them to the stage in one show would require a singing marathon, hours long. Déjà Vu - It’s the ‘60’s provides a very satisfying taste of a decade never to be forgotten!

Need to know? Saturday night is the main event with a dinner dance. Please note that there is an age restriction for children at the dance (no children under 12 years). A braai will be organised for little folk under 12 followed by activities; babysitters can also be arranged. Cost: R50.00 per adult; R25.00 per child 12 - 15 years.
