Located in the old Europa and Russel’s Carvery building, La Moutte has feathered her nest and called Regent Road her home. Translated, La Moutte means seagull in French, and with the perfect location, squawking seagulls and fresh sea breeze, what better place to enjoy a little taste of France. The storytelling interior paraded by old character features, fireplaces and regal dining rooms makes for an enjoyable, happy and friendly atmosphere. The French inspired menu pampers with upper class cuisine and orgasmic deserts in a cosy and intimate setting.

The décor leans towards minimalist. The warm interior dressed in hues of orange and brown and low ambient lighting. The menu showcases well know Thai dishes and reasonable prices such as green Thai curry with chicken or prawns, crispy duck and pancakes, fried pad Thai noodles with prawns and chilli. Some favourites remain such as spicy hot and sour tom yum soup or the tom kha gah soup with coconut milk. Remember to choose your heat levels before ordering.

A Home away from home, Nestled between two giant palm trees on the far side of Regent Street in Sea Point, Italian restaurant Casa Nostra is a slice of home-style Italian comfort that in Cape Town, is particularly hard to come by. And our rustic-style pizzas have also proved more than popular with the locals and the returning tourists. When they’re not playing backgammon or drinking copious amounts of coffee at outside tables, our trusted and welcoming team who run the floor will go to great lengths to make sure you’re comfortable and well-looked after.
