Ballito has been our KZN holiday destination since 2003. Although the town is growing, it has become rather unkept over the years. The kids still enjoy the beaches and the Lifestyle Centre. It is ideally located for the trips to Sibaya, Ushaka International, Moses Mabida Stadium etc. We have however never been disappointed with the accommodation - Villa Jaime is indeed a hidden secret in Ballito! What a blissful time we had.

It's a wunderful apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. For us, it is the most beautiful place on the whole beach. We also saw dolphins. If we come back to Ballito, this address will be the first, which we requests are. Thanks a lot. Andrea and Ivo, Switzerland

Was my first time in the Durban area and my husband and i travelled to many of the different places and Ballito is def the best. Everyone was very friendly the beaches were very clean. We also would like to buy a property here, again i think that says it all. I would recommend anyone to go to Ballito if you have children or not.

Balito has grown into a holiday destination with shopping, good restaurants and great entertainment especially in December. There are many places were people can meet at night clubs and restaurant/bars. There is a lot of activities in the area such as boating, fishing, golf clubs, caravan sites, hotels and microlighti flying. My family enjoy going were there are all the above but also not as commercial and crowded as Unhlanga

My wife and I enjoyed Ballito very much. You can still find amazing unique restaurants on the sea front and have a stroll on the beach afterwards. This is quite an accomplishment in South Africa. Would recommend it to anyone that is reading this.

Ballito is a premier tourist destination on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal. Exquisite white apartments shining on a hill, overlooking the Indian Ocean, remind of Mykonos and Santorini in Greece! The beaches are wide and accessible and the CBD consists of numerous shops and restaurants. Ballito is approximately a 25 minute drive from the Gateway Shopping Center in Umhlanga. Can't wait to visit again!

My family have been going to Ballito since I was a little girl. Now, with a family of my own, we still go back to Ballito every year for our weekend and yearly getaways. Even though Ballito have expanded and changed a lot in the past few years, I will always treasure Ballito for the memories, not to mention the relaxed enviroment and the clean beaches.

Going to Ballito is always a win! beautiful beaches, soft breezes and friendly people. We go there at least once a year from Cape Town and always leave with a heavy heart. The Lifestyle Centre is awesome and offers everything for the discerning traveller. There are always great shows around school holidays and the events on the beaches are for everyone. We were at the Mr Price Pro this year and it was fantastic and experienced the live shows on the beach in the evenings

Ballito is the perfect destination for a holiday as everything is close together making it very convenient for holiday makers. It is small enough not to be to busy, but big enough to have a good vibe which makes it the ideal place. The weather is good with many activities for the whole family.

Hi, I’m Jaime Ernst from Ville Jaime in Ballito. Ballito is best known for its Endless Summers, Golden beaches, breath taking sunrises and regular sightings of the bottlenose dolphins that use our coastline as their playground. Fabulous Golf courses, mountain biking trails, quad biking adventures make sure that their is something to keep everyone busy Get your picture taken at the Mr Price Pro Surfing Competition that takes place yearly on our beaches. The best family pictures can be taken at Willard Beach while you enjoy frolicking in the waves or building sandcastles on the beach. Other happy snaps can be taken whilst having fun on the zipline or high above the skies as you enjoy a micro light flight and take in all that Ballito has to offer from the air. When the weather’s good, I like to have sundowners and pizza on the beach When the weather’s bad, I like to visit one of the many wonderful spa’s to relax and be pampered. I think the best time of year to visit is April, because of the wonderful . My favourite breakfast spot is Zara’s at Lifestyle. For lunch, I suggest Sage Cafe My favourite restaurant is Mozambik, try the Calamari and their stuffed olives. They are out of this world. Best late night snack from Hops. My favourite WIFI hot spot is BBM Cafe. For a night out on the town try Shakers. If you want to meet locals, go to Karibu Pub Ballito’s best kept secret is Rainfarm for divine game drives. My favourite thing to do with friends is have a pedicure and cocktails at Canelands Beach Club. For some live music I like to go to the Wine and Jazz hosted monthly by Hotel Izulu. To relax and restore my soul, I like to go to the Green Room . If you’re feeling adventurous, try one of the mountain biking trails at Holla Trails. My favourite walk is on the promenade and my favourite drive is along the M4 leading into Ballito so that I can enjoy the beautiful views of the sea. My favourite clothing shop is White Summer. My favourite Dolphin watching spot is Gianni’s Restaurant. If you’re here in July, join in the fun at the Mr Price Pro or the Prawn and Jazz Festival. My favourite museum is Luthuli Museum. Check out the history of KZN. Travelling with children? A fun outing is definitely Sage Cafe. Mom and Dad can relax and have a coffee and a bite to eat while your children explore the various activities available to keep them entertained. Best cheap and cheerful outing is Karibu. When money’s no object, I like to have lunch at the Fairmont Hotel. My favourite weekend getaway is the Drakensberg or Hlulhwe both of which are an easy 2 hours drive away from our beautiful hometown. I give back to the community heading up the Ballito and KZN Cancer Support network. Helping people with the shock of diagnosis, journey through chemo and caring for the terminally ill. Other: Ballito is the Hottest place to Work, Live and Play I ♥ Ballito because is HOT !!!

I have lived in many parts of SA - Ballito is the best. It has the best climate, has enough going on to keep you busy yet is small and peaceful!!! The sea is the warmest and cleanest in SA, there are good restaurants, beach and bike trails, a great mall, leafy suburbs and atmosphere.

Ballito is a pretty coastal town on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Ballito boasts beautiful beaches set alongside fields of sugarcane and enjoys humid, warm weather most of the year. Ballito lies in the heart of the Dolphin Coast and conveniently situated close to world renowned golf courses and also the majestic Drakensberg mountains, a couple of hours drive way. Willard Beach is the main beach and has Blue Flag status as well as having life guards on duty seven days a week. The waters of Ballito are alive with bottlenose dolphins and are visible all year round, as well as having perfect surfing conditions Ballito is also a popular fishing spot. Princes Grant, Tinley Manor and Umhlali are quaint little towns close by and are well worth a visit. Ballito has numerous fine restaurants catering for all tastes as well as the fast food outlets. King Shaka international airport is approx 12kms away making this an ideal destination for overseas and local visitors alike :)

Great beaches, swimming, restaurants and entertainment for families (especially the Sage Restaurant in Umhlali) and great infrastructure (Woolies, Spar... for everything that a family may need). Even more convenient now that the King Shaka Airport is operational.

Although a beach town, Ballito has all modern amenities nearby. The shopping for food and even clothing was more than adequate. It was quiet even during the Easter break with quite a few guests. The water was rough but warm and great fun. The rather limited swimming areas was a bit disappointing, but the strong currents probably explain this.

We enjoyed Ballito 100%. Has wonderful things to do, for both adults and kids. The Pumkin Theatre was wonderful; we watched the show on Saturday night and the whole family enjoyed it. The Water Berrie coffee shop was a lovely treat. The Pottery Gallery was also a great stop. We would love to do it again along with the Flag Farm. The shopping centers are also wonderful. Had everything we were looking for. The beaches are so lovely and clean with such nice rocks all over. We will definitely be back.
