Nice little town with fairly decent mall and facilities. Beach is great but the area becomes really "dodgy" late afternoon.

In 1828, the legendary Zulu King Shaka led his people on an epic journey down the wild south coast of kwa-Zulu Natal. After a long march he stopped to rest beside a cool river that flowed into the Indian Ocean. King Shaka drank deeply from the river and pronounced "kanti la manzi amtoti" - "so the water is sweet". The river and the town that later developed around this legend, would henceforth be named Amanzimtoti.
Amanzimtoti is one of many hamlets that make up the magnificent Sapphire Coast, abundant with natural beauty and wildlife that exist alongside stylish modern malls, various accommodation facilities, restaurants and sports facilities.
The area is renowned for it's beaches and wealth of ocean activities and has a rich sense of cultural diversity.
Amanzimtoti is a warm and welcoming town, oozing old fashioned values where visitors come to reconnect with their families and leave feeling peaceful and rejuvenated.

Toti is a nice place to go on holiday. It is a small cosy town with all the important essential things such as the new Galleria mall for ice skating, lovely and neat beaches, etc. This was my third visit to Amanzimtoti and I will definitely go there on holiday in the future.

A Place that's a must go is Star walk at abour crossing a family entertainment mall, while you enjoying a drink you can watch over your kids when playing. Ice rink a not passing it's a life time experience to learn how to skate if you can't. We did and it's awesome to be in those skates shoes on the ice. We even cried when we had to come home from our friendly environment vacation PS. Spur at Toti Beach situated on the beach front the hospitality & food there is 10/10. Michelle de Wee at amazimtoti

Lets just start off by saying thank you to Safri Now I have used them for the last 4 years now and they never dissapoint with decent location and price, this I am very grateful for. Our last destinations was a tropical adventure with a laid back atmosphere beautifull and breath taking mornings. Absolutely loved it!! Quiet and peacefull I slept like a baby and upon returning to the Concrete Jungle JHB was ready to pack on the rest of the year with new vigor.

Amanzimtoti, itself, is one of the cheaper destinations to go to. It is full of holiday makers and, as a result, many street dwellers do accost one. Within a short distance of Toti is nicer beaches and places to go which are much more enjoyable.

Amanzimtoti has probably a few reasons why you would visit this town. One of them would be for its proximity to Aliwal Shoal, which is notorious for diving with sharks!
