Description
Situated right within the 'Docks' is Cape Town's original seafood restaurant. The bargain seafood lunch exists outside the walls of Ocean Basket, and judging by the full Friday lunch crowd, the Panama Jack’s fans already know that!
Here you can munch, scrunch through half a kilo of prawns for R55 (same price for a mini seafood platter sans shellfish), which is a very alluring prospect. The quality is standard, but someone who has been having his Friday lunch here for years says he’s never found a mushy prawn. Another bonus is that this spot within the working Table Bay Harbour has great character, shared by inner-harbour places around the world.
