Description
This new restaurant in Mandela Park is breaking barriers and becoming the talk of Hout Bay! Sibanye is Xhosa, and it means "we are one!" This funky township initiative is attracting a vibrant mix of white suburbanites and township folk all hungry for more than just a good meal. It's a place where South Africans, black and white can laugh and eat together around the table and build friendships like that of the two young entrepeneurs who started it.
Eat truly South African fare like yummy chicken livers with
"ngwinya" or
pap and meat ladled with tomato
"smoor"
Need to know? Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm. Bookings are essential for lunches.
Directions
From Constantia Neck:
Follow the Main Road down the neck; you will pass a Spar on your left, keep going for about 1 km (a guesstimate). When you see Hughenden Rd on your left, you know you are close, take your next turn left (just after the grave yard). Follow that road, it will curve around a playground and then carve sharp left, about 30 meters after this curve, you will find SIBANYE on your right.(Its bright orange, you can't miss it!)
