Description
Good Hope Gardens Nursery and Farm Stall is situated over the road from Cape Point Nature Reserve. The nursery offers hundreds of indigenous species ranging from local fynbos to subtropical trees. Most are grown at the nursery under harsh Cape Point weather conditions, making them very hardy. Friendly well-trained staff is on hand to happily assist.
The recently opened farm stall sells local produce, products, gifts, art and a selection of surfing equipment. It is an eco friendly space with roof gardens, 'up-cycled' pot plants and reclaimed building materials. Cyclists, surfers, families, tourists, day-trippers and even friendly dogs on leads are welcome.
Choose from a wide selection of food and refreshments to enjoy in the shady seating area or picnic in the playground. Seating outdoors is on custom-made wooden furniture amongst the fynbos flora and fauna. Lulled by the trickle of the stream and birdsong, it sets a very restful and rustic scene.
Visitors can expect a wide choice of teas including fynbos tea, delicious African origin coffee and home made iced fynbos tea. There are daily home baked specials, favorites include rose cupcakes, carrot cake and rooibos cake. Organic veg from their veggie gardens is used as much as possible. Look out for edible flower salad packs, raw honey, homebaked biscotti, farm dairy, free-range eggs, breads, seasonal veg, organic apples and apple juice, pasta, pesto and other treats on the shelves. On the weekends one can expect freshly baked pies, croissants and bakes.
A secure playground make it a perfect venue for children’s parties – enquire about the new Pony Parties. Kids can meet Patches the Shetland pony and feed the goats.
Fynbos platters, breakfasts and lunches can be pre-booked.
Take a guided fynbos walk or grab a map and explore the pretty trails yourself.

The right stuff

This amazing farm stall was definitely made by people of the right stuff! The chocolate brownies are the sort that you wake up thinking about, the pies are the way pies should be - homemade, the veggies are fresh, the surfboards local, the setting a fynbos haven with a farmyard edge. The whole darn shebang is just right! It's what a perfect Sunday is made of. Do it!

This is an awesome spot. Beautiful setting, friendly staff. All the kids were having fun looking at the pony and goats and we enjoyed fantastic cuppaccinos under the trees. Our boyfriends got some wax for their surfboards and kudu pies for the road. We will definitely be back to do some shopping!
