A very warm welcome from Wendy greeted us on arrival at Halstead House. She was the perfect hostess - gave us excellent advice on places to go and eat, but Halstead House itself, even though the weather was not at the best, was an attraction to the children with a small but lovely swimming pool. So often "tastefully decorated" can mean "very twee" but the rooms were lovely - and - a relief to us - NOT full of little ornaments that you worry about your children breaking. What a wonderful weekend... the hosts took care of our every need, including cleaning and cooking a fish we caught on our charter. The camp was very family friendly.
