Photographs Best Practices

Photo Gallery
SafariNow.com allows for up to 12 images being displayed on each webpage. A minimum of 8 is required. The images must be crisp, clear and of high quality.  Images must show what is offered at the establishment, giving clients a clear idea of what to expect. Care must be taken to avoid misrepresentation.
Images with a size not smaller than 450x400px can be uploaded. These images are thumb nailed on your homepage to a width of 250px, however the original size (enlarged version) is shown when the image is clicked upon and the photo gallery is opened.
The images must have an explanatory title and a qualitative description and may not incur copyright infringement. 

Images must be displayed in an order of 1-12 as follows:

• Front View /Aerial View
• Foyer/Reception
• Rooms
• Bathrooms
• Lounge
• Dining Room
• Kitchen (if self catering)
• Facilities & Surrounds
• Map

Logos are not permitted.

Requirements are :

• Images MUST be in .jpg format.
• Minimum size of 450x400 pixels (ideally 800x600 or bigger)
• Images straight from a high-res camera may be too big to upload.
• We suggest using Microsoft Office Picture Manager to 'compress for documents'

To upload  images to your webpage:

• Sign into your Establishment Zone.
• Within the Navigation directory, click on Edit Listings.
• Now click on Edit Photo Gallery to open the Image Gallery Management  page.

• At this page, click Add A New Image.

Add the Gallery Image Information which includes :

• Title » Title of the image which is shown when the image is moused-over.
• Description » A description of the image.
• Copyright Information » Record any copyright information.
• Display Order » disregard this field at this time.

Click Next to load the captured information. Click the Browse button to select the jpg image on your local hard drive or CD drive and click Upload. The image will be added to your Photo Gallery.

Click Add A New Image to repeat the process and add more images to your Photo Gallery.

Once the images have been uploaded, they can be moved into the required order. The selected main image must be the front view of the property, or view from the front of the property.
