Reviews Policy
SafariNow.com is not in a position to visit every establishment on our website. We rely on customer feedback and reviews to maintain the quality on our site and enhance you user experience.
We use the following general process when dealing with customer reviews for establishments listed on our website:
- When a compliant comes in we review it and send it to the establishment for response.
- Should an establishment feel that the review/ complaint is damaging or subjective they request us to investigate the review.
- At this point we mark the review in a status of "pending investigation" and when the next customer stays at the establishment we call them and verify the points that the complaining customer has made.
- Should the next customer also have issues with the establishment we will remove the establishment from our site
Submitting Reviews
When you submit a review you agree that we have a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable and fully sub-licensable right to (a) use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, create derivative works from and publicly display and perform such review throughout the world in any media, now known or hereafter devised; and (b) use the name that you submit in connection with such review. You acknowledge and agree that the review is not confidential and does not belong to anyone.
When submitting a review you expressly agree not to post, upload to, transmit, distribute, store, create or otherwise publish any of the following:
- Any message, data, information, text, photos or any other material ("Review Material") that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, suggestive, harassing, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory, fraudulent or otherwise objectionable;
- Review Material that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local or international law;
- Review Material that may infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party;
- Review Material that impersonates any person or entity or otherwise misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity, including Safariow.com;
- Unsolicited promotions, political campaigning, advertising, contests, raffles, or solicitations;
- Private information of any third party, including, without limitation, surname addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and credit card numbers;
- Viruses, corrupted data or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files;
- Review Material that, in our sole judgment violates this policy or which may expose SafariNow.com or its affiliates or its users to any harm or liability of any type.
Please note that we take no responsibility and assume no liability for any Review Material posted, stored or uploaded by you or any third party, or for any loss or damage thereto. We are not liable for any mistakes, defamatory statements, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography or profanity you may encounter.
Moderation of Reviews
Although we have no obligation to screen, edit or monitor any of the Review Material posted we reserve the right in our sole and absolute discretion, to remove, screen or edit without notice any Review Material posted or stored on our website at any time and for any reason.
Please note that anything we consider a questionable review may be subject to moderation by us. In this regard, the posting of your Review Material can take longer whilst the review is moderated. Moderation is only done to ensure compliance with our posting guidelines and never to amend factual content. We will post positive and negative reviews as long as they meet our posting guidelines.
Sometimes we miss something. If you feel that there is any inappropriate Review Material posted on our website please report it to reviews@safarinow.com
Fraudulent Postings
We do not allow fraudulent postings. Please note that the following may be considered fraudulent:
- Establishment owners writing a review for their own property
- Establishment owners asking friends or relatives to write positive reviews
- Establishment owners submitting a review on behalf of a guest
- Establishment owners copying comment cards and submitting them as reviews
- Establishment owners offering any incentives in exchange for reviews
- Establishment owners attempting to damage his/her competitors by submitting a negative review.
If we determine that there are fraudulent reviews submitted for an establishment we will:
- Drop your ranking on our website;
- Insert a large red notice next to your listing on our website, explaining that the reviews are suspicious.
Review dispute process
We understand that you may have a legitimate objection to a review. If so, please contact us on reviews@safarinow.com so that we can investigate your concerns about reviews posted on our website. Please report the review via email making sure you clearly identify the review in question, set out your reason for disputing the review and provide any evidence you may have in support of your objection.
Please note we do provide mechanisms for responding to reviews posted and both suggest and welcome you submitting a management response sharing your version of the story. Please note that any response must also be in line with our posting guidelines and will be considered Review Material for the purposes of this review policy.
