What it means
Real-time means ‘instant’ or ‘immediate’. Real-time reservations means customers can book and pay immediately, at the price which you have specified.
There is no communication prior to a booking, you simply get told “you have a new booking”, and then we pay you, a bit like magic really!
Why it’s good
We can bring you a LOT more bookings if your stock is available for purchase immediately.
We will prioritise you on our website and in our reservations call-center.
How to get it
There are a number of ways to offer real-time reservations, and SafariNow will support all the best options.
In a nutshell though, you will need to manage your room availability on a computer program (property management system, or PMS), so that our computer can talk to your computer. It sounds scary, but it’s easy!
At the moment the best way to offer real-time bookings is via the
Nightsbridge system.
If you are a Nightsbridge member we simply flip a switch on our side and your rooms immediately become available for real-time booking on SafariNow.com.
What does it cost?
- SafariNow.com charges our standard commission on real-time reservations.
- Nightsbridge charge a monthly fee which depends on the number of rooms you have, typically roughly R150.

At this stage you can use any PMS which is integrated to Nightsbridge, including:

Which Property Management System (PMS) is the best?
This is a subjective decision, based on your specific requirements.
PMS’s vary, from a basic calendar and invoicing system to a full-blown system for managing the back office of your entire establishment.
