Excellent location
A beautiful house with exceptionally well furnished accommodation, in an excellent location within walking distance of Franschhoek. The Proprietor, Sheila, was kind helpful and very welcoming, offering lifts to and from the local restaurants. The standard of the accommodation and service could not have been better in a 5 star hotel. Very nice place for a stopover
The staff were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to please everybody. Although it is a very small town, it has a lot of history, on our second night over on our way back to Joburg we spent some time to walk around and meet some of the residence. Stunning view
We thoroughly enjoyed our two days at Acara, which was far too short. The gardens with all the birds, are magnificent, the view stunning, the accommodation very comfortable and mine hostess charming and helpful. Having "working stables" was an added bonus. My wife and I have travelled to Stellenbosch many times over the years staying frequently in B&B's in the district visiting our children at the University and Acara is the best we have stayed in. — Shane Dwyer, South Africa
