My wife and I arrived in Jo-burg after a 21 day overland safari looking for time to relax and gather our thoughts prior to returning to the States. Shirley and her son, Murray, welcomed us into their home and provided an unparalleled experience. I truly felt a member of their family while being there, and I miss it already. A wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay tremendously, despite the weather. Taking Shrek (the Toplodge 4x4) as means of transportation to and from the lodge is highly recommended, even if you have your own 4x4. We enjoyed the remoteness, peacefulness and tranquility. I am sure it will be even better after some rain.
