Halcyon House, short stay getaway
Halcyon house is a wonderful guest house. The owners, Charles and Judy, are very hospitable owners and have thought of every minute detail. The house and rooms are very homely, inviting and clean. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night as a stopover, but wished we were able to spend more time there. I cannot recommend Halcyon more as a must stay during a visit to Plet. 5 Stars. :) — Atiesh Patel, United Kingdom

Beautifully landscape surroundings,,,with beautifully detailed guest rooms! Great breakast!
We were kindly greeted and received at this beautifully landscape lodge. Had a little misunderstanding, regarding our rooms. But, all worked out fine. Philip and his wife gave us great service, with wholesome breakfasts,,, which included bacon, eggs and homemade orange juice and jam,,,,just delicious! And made for us wonderful reservations for our wild country safaries,,which was fantastic! We caught the Big Five!! Generally Pleasing...
First, the not so good: Personally, I wouldn't recommend the place to someone for longer than 3 days. If you just plan on staying at the establishment for the bulk of your holiday, then make sure you are prepared to do nothing but laze around. There are many miles of gravel roads - and much of it is loose sand that makes driving in a sedan type vehicle challenging. As for things to do near the establishment, unfortunately there isn't much.
