 CREATE SKINS
What is skinning?
Skinning allows you to view the contents of our site in a layout
that matches your own website. This allows users to seamlessly travel
between your site & ours. We allow you to add your own custom
header & footer to our page layout, & to alter other elements
of our look & feel via stylesheeting. The 'last skin viewed' is stored in a cookie,
so if a user comes back directly to the SafariNow site, they will still
see your branding. You can see an example of a skin below:
How do I create a skin?
- If you have not created a skin before, you can do so by clicking the add skin button on the Affiliate Zone page:
- This will take you to the Create New Skin page. On this page, you can add your HTML code &/or CSS code for your skin:
- Please Enter a Description for this Skin » This is purely for your benefit so that you can keep track of multiple skins.
- Header HTML » Copy & paste your header HTML code in this section. Please make sure that you do not insert any <head> or <body> tags. If you are linking to an external stylesheet you can add the link above the HTML code.
- Footer HTML » Copy & paste your footer HTML code in this section. Please make sure that you do not insert any <head> or <body> tags.
- Page Body Width » At present we recommend that you set this to 800px (due to sizing constraints of our page contents).
- Content Alignment » Choose left, center or right to display the page accordingly.
- Advanced Stylesheet Settings » You can enter your CSS code here or link to your own stylesheet as described above.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page when you are finished.

Please Note » the skin gets set on browser session start & remains until the browser session ends. If you cannot see your skin or the changes you have made to your skin, try closing the browser down & restarting (do not visit the SafariNow site before viewing your skin or our settings will be taken as the 'last skin viewed'). |
