This role entails managing the Content Team, setting monthly targets/objectives, co-ordinating content projects, working in close liaison with live/bookable establishments, and ensuring the overall accuracy of the content on both the back and front-end of the site. This candidate should possess the ability to work accurately under pressure, be results driven and goal orientated.

• Managing a medium size team

Key responsibilities:

• Management of Content Division
• Plan, lead, organize and control company's entire product portfolio
• Online product/supplier communication
• Account management – new and existing suppliers – data management
• Build and maintain business relationships with Key Accounts
• Manage front-end and back-end online content
• Co-ordinate workloads for teams
• Profound priority setting and impact-driven approach to task management
• Motivate and lead team members
• Oversee the quality of webpage content and the maintenance thereof
• New process developments
• Working closely with general manager and development team
• Daily and weekly feedback to line manager
• Resolve establishment owner’s complaints with regards to any content issues

Required skills, traits and experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification – diploma/degree in Business Management
• Minimum three years management experience
• Articulate, dynamic and lateral thinker
• Organized and methodical
• Business acumen and strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English (Afrikaans literacy advantageous)
• Ability to manage and motivate yourself and teams in a demanding environment
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency of the Internet
• Previous experience in online travel advantageous
• Analytical – can identify weak processes and provide workable solutions
• Firm, flexible leader; but must be people driven
• Thrives under pressure
• Enjoys goal setting
• Understands the importance of content in relation to the Internet
