Boesmanskloof-Die Galg Accommodation was built by legendary Oom Barry Oosthuizen about 30 years ago. The accommodation is right at the end/start of the Boesmanskloof Hiking trail between Mc Gregor and Greyton and 16 km from the beautiful town, Mc Gregor.
The accommodation is five star accommodation for hikers and also suitable for weekend accommodation as all the huts have electricity and are fully equipped with pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, 2 plate stoves and fridges.
One can drive right up to the accommodation. There's a pool on the premises as well as a jungle-gym, library, dartboard and various board games.
There is a short trail to the Dynamite Stonehouse evidence of where the dynamite were stored during the attempt to build a road through the Boesmanskloof Pass to Greyton.
All the huts are surrounded by fynbos and there's a good chance of spotting some of the wild animals and birds while enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountain.
The Stone Barn is divided into 4 units each with its own kitchen with inside fireplace, shower and toilet. Each unit can sleep from 7-9 people. In total the Stone Barn/Klipstoor can sleep 35 people that makes it ideal for bigger groups. The 3 white thatched roof cottages can sleep from 2-15 people each.
