Southern most town in Africa

Plenty of resturants in small town.. Lighthouse visit was fun. Some nice small beaches and harbour at Struisbaai closeby. Lots of accommodation to choose from. Fishing was popular sport. Town survives on being the Southern most town in Africa with Lighthouse and history of shipwrecks.
Short stay but lovely

We went to the Southern most tip and saw the shipwreck. The road is not covered in tar, so this was bit of a problem for my car. Climbing the light house was a really nice experience but the museum was under construction. Small town where you can walk to see everything. Struisbaai, a few kilometers away, had lovely beaches, beautiful water, and the fisherman's boats to look at.

This time of the year, I found the town to be unexpectedly bustling and full of the holiday spirit. The proximity of accommodation to beaches and places of natural interest was most convenient and taking a relaxing walk around the town was most pleasant.
