There are six chalets arranged along the beachfront, facing directly onto Lake Malawi. Each thatched-roof chalet is constructed from a combination of local stone and grass mat with smooth stone floors. Each chalet has a private sun-shaded veranda and all rooms are equipped with mosquito nets, power and plug sockets. Linen and towels are provided and a laundry facility is available. They are facilitated by a beautiful circular hot shower ablution block nearby.

With the location of the lodge directly on the lake-shore, the camping area can be found directly on the beach facing the direction of the sunset. There are no permanent tented facilities, but Mango Drift does have a couple of small two-person tents to rent. The camping area is adjacent to the hot shower ablution facilities, and there is a power charging area for any mobile phones or laptops.

Located on the hillside overlooking the lake, our new En-Suite Chalets are now available. The charming bathrooms have hot water showers and the expansive verandas offer an amazing view across the lake, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunsets.

Our comfortable En-suite Dormitory can facilitate up to seven guests comfortably. It has a hot shower, a toilet and a sink area built into the dormitory and has an outside seating-lounge area shaded by mango trees.
