Nestled in a heady grove of tall trees, 10 minutes' drive from the main house, is Impandala House. This is the most beautiful of farm houses with dramatic views. The house has four spacious and light bedrooms of which two are en-suite. A warm, hospitable lounge and dining room opens onto a typically colonial, all-round veranda that offers spectacular views down to the lake. The surroundings and gardens are regularly visited by game, making it a peaceful haven for bird spotters and is often referred to as a ‘writers paradise’ and those who wish to escape the stress of modern day living. The per person rate is for groups smaller than four people. A fully inclusive and group rate is available on request. The self-catering rate includes all activities on the estate except horse riding and guided walks.

This main house is a stunning colognial building retaining all of the original charm. Situated in beautiful maintained gardens it can sleep ten guests in five en-suite rooms. All the rooms have their own fireplace for cooler months and have the original hardwood furnishings and paintings. All visitors are welcome to roam the house and visit the extensive library. A laundry and nanny service is available. The rates include meals, accommodation, beverages, all activities on Shiwa Estate and access to the library and archives.
