Laugh yourself silly - Comedy Revolution Tour hits East London!
Ha ha, be warned - you could split your sides guffawing, roll in the aisle with tears streaming down your cheeks or even wet your pants. South Africa's largest ever stand-up tour will be cruising in to The Deck on Sunday, the 18th of May, to bring 'Buffalo City' audiences a world-class comedy line-up. And the chortles don't stop here - the Comedy Revolution Tour is running from the Cape to KZN up to Gauteng, down to the Free State and back to Cape Town this May and June.
With three international and six local performers, the tour is truly on a mammoth scale for the South African scene.
The international acts featured in the show are Martin Davis (UK), Glen Bo (RSA/UK) and Martin Evans (RSA/UK). African acts include Marty Kintu (Uganda), Zinzi Mangweni, Brendan Murray, Simmi Areff, Lil Paul, and Jan Badenhorst.
Tour promoters, Martin Evans (based in Cape Town) and Glen Bo (based in KZN), are both international comedians based in South Africa who are passionate and determined to develop South African Comedy. The tour runs from the 14th May through to 7th June, 2008.
Tickets for The Deck show on the 18th May are R50-R100 per person and are available at the door.
